I believe that problems within government and its official are the reason for these people experiencing so much. Therefore, I would like to do more research to better understanding why this turmoil occurred and how it is effecting the people of South Sudan. Several questions will arise and be answered throughout my analysis. First, I would like to find out why these two political officials became enemies in just a span of two years. In order to comprehend this information I will have to evaluate the establishment of their presidency and vice presidency. Secondly, I have to examine the tension that developed in the government in South Sudan in the first two year of it’s existent and how this tension played a role in the problems occurring between President Salya Kiir and former Vice President Riek Machar. Lastly, I would like to see the ways in which the tensions between these individuals has effected the issues in the South Sudan political arena. The USA Today article titled “Corruption at root of South Sudan violence: Analysts” by Oren Dorell gives us a lot of incite into the issues that arose leading up for the president and vice president’s supporters fighting in the streets over the dismissal of vice president. An organization known as Enough has written the article “Conflicts in South Sudan”. This article describes many of the problems that occurred and continue to occur because of the major rifts in government. These problems occur in the various aspects of South Sudan’s structure. Such things as government, military, general population behavior, and many other things were affected by this political split. Also, this article mentions how Sudan is negative influencing the violence and chaos occurring in South Sudan. The Sudan Tribune article “South Sudanese rebels to push for political reforms” gives much attention to the perception of the rebel groups, especially those led by Riek Machar. They are striving to push for reform in the different states of South Sudan. However, This is making the strives for some form a true peace agreement very hard. Peace is not only being ask by the people of the nation, by outside countries and groups are demanding peace also.
