The people are bred in test tubes in order to be exactly the same in every sense of the word. Any and all social standards that we have today have been disposed of. Any sense of self or intellectual thought a person may have is discouraged and, if the person begins voicing these thoughts, crushed into pieces. The dream state that the drug induces helps the government to control the populace and not receive any inquiries as to the humaneness or necessity of the procedures that the government is performing. Humans are no longer capable of thinking for themselves. We are so dependent on others think for us. We listen to our doctors and take the poisons that they prescribe without questions, we take whatever new technology is dangled in front of our faces by marketing companies like cheese on a trap, we put our life in the hands of supposedly good people who would never hurt us and then don't stop to realize that that may not be the best decision for out own well beings. The human species now is terrifyingly like that of the human species seen in Brave New World. We don't have humans raised in test tubes and facilities yet but we have the fear of the unknown, we have the unconscious, sheep-like qualities of simply doing what we're told is right by people who aren't necessarily trustworthy because they're so concerned with power, we have the drugs that make us agreeable, and unintelligent, and unquestioning.
