Wasted time means wasted money.
If we don’t spend our working time to earn money, we are in effect losing money (dictionary.com). I suppose the problem with the quote would be at times when time isn’t worth money. For example, you’re retired. Then time isn’t worth any money.

I had a friend who was talking to the boy she met online, was giving information out to, and was throwing around the idea of meeting up. My role in this situation was a friend. She told me this in confidence, but by keeping such a secret, I could be letting some guy hurt my friend. I’d consider this to be role strain.
As for role conflict; my duties are as a student and a participant in my youth group. I have tasks to complete on the same day as the events for the group. Another example of role conflict is my duty as a sister and a daughter. My sister may tell me a secret in confidence, but it’s my duty as a daughter to tell my mother. …show more content…

According to Durkheim, the division of labor is good for society. It increases the skill of workman and creates an air of solidarity between people. In The Division of Labor, there are two types of solidarity; Mechanical and Organic.
With organic solidarity, on the other hand, society is a system of different functions that are united by definite relationships. Each individual must have a distinct job or action and a personality that is his or her own. Individuality grows as parts of society grow. Thus, society becomes more efficient at moving in sync, yet at the same time, each of its parts has more movements that are distinctly its own.
Division of labor is historically closely associated with the growth of total output and trade, the rise of capitalism, and of the complexity of industrialization processes. (Expand)
