2) Social Interactions/ Development : EJ : Male: Birthday ( 6/3/2015)
EJ a 15 months child seem to be very reserved . He is seen sitting in the corner of the classroom away from his classmates. Therefore, he does not interact much with any of the other children , but rather seeks teh attention of the teachers. When he does not get the attention , he walks away and play s witha toy car. He is participating in solitary play. Solitary play refers to playing alone , without being concerned with what others are doing ( Steinberg, Bornstein , Vandell & Rook pg 249) . EJ’s social skills are what I expected because a typiccally 2 years old participates in parallel play ( playing with similar toy next to another child) and EJ is 15 months. Therefore, his social skills are appropriate for his age ( Steinberg, Bornstein , Vandell & Rook pg. 249). 3) Emotional Development : Arthur: Male : Birthday ( 12/18/2015) Arthur expressed excitement , happiness , and joy while he was in day care. For exampel , Arthur showed excitment pushing the walker. He was happy playing with the other children . HE showed joy when the teacher picked him up. Arthur was born on December 18, 2015 and he is male . Arthur ‘s emotional development seem to be secured by the secure attachment he possible has with his parents. He is very independent and a happy little boy. Compared to his peers , he is an easy going child ( Steinberg, Bornstein , Vandell & Rook pg 160). The Autonomy versus Shame and Doubt best describes Arthur because he is very independent . He does not need much attention to be happy. 4) Language Development : Desmond : Male : Birthday ( 12/14/2014) Desmond points at a bug spider and replies “ spider “ to his teacher . When he pronounced spider , it was not as clear but his teacher understood him . Lily : Female : Birthday ( 12/14/2014) Lily asked her teacher if she could bring her water cup outside. The word order of her speech was correct ,but it was not clearly pronounced . Lily and Desmond both are where they need to be in terms of language skills because at the age of 22 months , a child should be able to use first pronounce , speaks in phrases or sentences. Both child demonstrate these skills in language production and comprehension . ( Baltimore, D., HD FS 102 lecture 5 &7 , 2016 , Fall) 5) Cognitive Development : Lily: Female : Birthday ( 12/14/2014) Lily can indentify her belongings when she was told to go get her jacket and shoes to go outside. Her comprehension is good because she followed the directions in which she was given. She could even wear her own shoes on her foot correctly. Therefore, she has knowledge of the things that belong to her . She was born December 14,2014. Lily’s cognitive development is advance because she is not 2 years yet. They assists these children by easing , calming the child in order for them to fall asleep .

The child, who is the star of the week is given the opportunity to stand in front of the class and tell the class what he or she was doing in a picture ( Steinberg, Bornstein , Vandell & Rook pg 206- 207).
15) Personal
From this assignment , I learned that it is important to let children discover and explore different experiences because it facilities their learning . Children learn through their experiences , therefore it is important that adults provide assistance , but allow them to figure things out. I loved observing the children from infancy to 5 years old because it allow me to see the differences in their developement. It is really amazing to see how children progress in their development. Qualities I will look for when looking for a child care setting is that the facility needs to have adults who provide freedom to the children to discover things for themselves while making sure the child is safe and that the child understands the outcome of their actions . i would want attentive adults to meet the needs of my child
