The social imagination is the ability to connect the most basic, intimate aspects of an individual’s life to seemingly impersonal and remote historical factors. This was presented by C. Wright Mills who argued that people need to think critically about the social world around us by observing our individual experiences and history.
His statement can be put to test through the thought process of going to college to obtain a higher education or stopping further education after high school.
