The Sobolew’s family eats three meals a day. They usually have cold cereal, muffin or cooked eggs with fruits for breakfast, sandwiches or salads for lunch and salads with some type of meat for dinner. Mrs. Sobolew is still breastfeeding her baby and they do not have any change in their diet. They cook the foods by oven, toaster oven and microwave. They do not like fried foods. They consume high quantities of fruit and vegetables, proper meat as well as one time desert after dinner. Water is the main fluid consumption for this household and they also drink teas and coffee to support their daily energy. They will make cakes or cookies to celebrate either a birthday or a promotion at work. They do not digest excessive carbohydrate and they do have healthy diets, but Mrs. Sobolew is in breastfeeding so the nutrition may not enough for …show more content…
Mr. and Mrs. Sobolew sleep an average 8-9 hours but they do have 6 months old baby so they frequently get up at night to ted to their baby. This family seems to have enough sleep hours, but the quality of sleep is not adequate due to taking care the infant.
The elimination pattern is about the regularity and control of the family’s excretory functions (Edelman, Kudzma, & Mandle, 2014). Both Mr. and Mrs. Sobolew have daily bowel movement and normal urination. Their baby also no problem in excretory functions. When they have excretory problems, they use nature ways, such as controlling the consumption of fruits or fluid, to control problems. This family does not have any issue in elimination pattern.
Activity and exercise pattern is focused on daily activities, exercise, and leisure activities (Edelman, Kudzma, & Mandle, 2014). In the interview, the respondents walk around the neighborhood with the baby in the stroller about 45 minutes to 1 hour daily to every other day. Their attention is all in taking care their baby so they barely to watch television or using other screen. They attempt to establish a schedule of starting the baby to bed around 7pm which starts with a bath then a story book, then rock on rocking chair. They are Christian so they go to church every Sunday. In the leisure time, they do gardening, play with their baby, visit family close by, go for hikes
