Snapping Hip Syndrome has not been formally studied as an overall topic for all athletics, but more compared to a certain sport or action. One clinical examination of ballet dancers did a study on self-reported Snapping Hip Syndrome. A team of health care professionals looked at the prevalence, associated factors, and mechanisms of the syndrome. The team did both physical examinations as well as ultrasound examinations.
