Introduction
Although the phenomenon still in its youth, social media has been a revolutionary medium for business marketing since first created. The connectivity of consumer to product is untouched by that of the traditional mediums, being television and radio. Where social media separates itself is it allows transparency and trueness of a product through direct communication. If utilized correctly, businesses can create trust and reciprocity quicker than ever; doing so through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat. These four platforms allow for communication to flow directly between the customer and seller, as well as other consumers of the product. We do so through all four sites, simultaneously. Acting as a web, we support and guide our following to each of the other sites. Although similar information is being distributed, the potential for outreach varies between the sites. This makes notoriety and targeting much more effective. So, before we start the Snapchat campaign, information about the promotion would be evenly distributed across our pages. Each post would invite our followers to share, and follow our Snapchat account for future promotions. But, the advertising of this promotion will be unique to the others. Snapchat’s design allows for short videos, pictures, or texts to be sent quickly. Such accessibility will be the strongpoint for our campaign. The posts elsewhere about the campaign will advertise our premise of what is the most important selling point: consumer involvement. Such premise will drive the entire campaign. The campaign will last two weeks, giving those who do not own our apparel time to purchase. Once a picture or video is sent, a generated promotional code will be direct messaged to them back. So the codes are not shared, they will be uniquely generated through our programs. To enter the code, our website has a box at checkout and will be applied to their final cart. What the code will include is 50% off to any two products of their choosing.
Snapchat’s design also allows us to track whether or not a person has sent us a snap before. This will limit people from sending many pictures or videos. A mistake, as such, could result in a huge loss in revenue. People would find any way to take advantage of such promotion, so we would have to cover all bases.
Another addition to such promotion would be the increase in our subscription base on Snapchat. The promotion would bring people to our page, and such trust would keep them watching our story. The story will be continually updated, similar to the other sites, and serve as our most interactive
