To begin with, Of Mice and Men was written by John Steinbeck. The was published in 1973. It is a banned book because it has racism, violence and usage of bad language. It tells the story of the migrant workers during the Great Depression in the United States. It also, tells the story of the two protagonist characters are George Milton and Lennie Small. There were other characters too like Curley, Slim, crooks, Candy, Carlson and Curley’s Wife. Curley was the son of the boss. And his wife was never named and only woman on the ranch, the ranch worker thinks Slim is a prince of the ranch even though he is not, Cany is a old and disable person, Crook is a named as crooks back and he was the worker on the ranch, lastly Carlson is a person that he sees everything right Vs. wrong. So, when Curley started punching Lennie, but Lennie do not fight back. George thinks Lennie should fight back, “George cupped his hands around his mouth and yelled, “Get ‘im, Lennie!””(79).
