Imagine all of your childhood dreams come true and you win a ticket to a place that is completely filled with all of your favorite and sweetest candies. Even containing treats that are new and have never been heard of or tasted before. Who hasn’t had that fantasy? Focusing on these three artworks I will identify, describe, analyze, and interpret my most favored Ramirez’s works.…

Gender War Through Writing It is obvious that people have the tendency to favor the gender that they identify with over the other, and often put the two against each other. The common assumption is that children usually portray this bias behavior, and as they get older, they grow out of it. Although this is the stereotypical belief, this behavior does not always die off with childhood, instead sticking with some throughout their entire adulthood, leaving those to choose to act upon it, some through writing. The Bell Jar and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest are two novels written with the theme of madness.…

“Come with me and you’ll be in a world of pure imagination.” This is the first line of the most popular song from the classic movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory directed by Mel Stuart and starring Gene Wilder (Stuart, 1971). From this line, one could assume this movie would be about beautiful fun and imaginings, when in reality the children, and their parents, in this story had major psychological problems which caused them and their families no end of pain! Psychological disorders are a real problem, and specific characters in Willy Wonka were troubled by egocentrism, a superiority complex, binge eating disorder, and are crippled by permissive parenting. Veruca Salt, the spoiled, entitled daughter of a rich nut king, suffered…
