It was the first day of highschool... I was awake and ready to make new friends, meet new people, and most of all, get out of this house. I slipped into my beautiful blue dress that I had worn every year since I was little to my first day of school, most obviously I mended it and changed it up so it would still fit me every year. I was proud of my dress, it had once shone bright one but has now faded like my childhood as I refuse to let go. Most of my friends had moved away so I knew this year would be harder. I sat there in the shade as they gave the pledge of allegiance. I saw familiar faces but school felt lonely. As I walked into school and into my first hour I could hear the girls snickering about me but I ignored them because I knew starting the year on a bad note wouldn 't be a good thing.
