People take the oddest stands when they are in love. They believe the world is against them and try to prove everyone wrong. “Romeo and Juliet / Act 2, Scene 2” is an excerpt from a play by William Shakespeare. Juliet talks about her love for Romeo and Romeo joins in. They plan to get married the next day. When people are polar opposites and fall in love, they feel the burden of everyone’s shame. Juliet exclaims, “O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse thy name” (Romeo and Juliet. 2.2. 33-34). Romeo and Juliet’s origins have a mutually shared hate.
