While, I do agree with you that that believers are not to be unequally yoke with unbelievers revealed in (2 Corinthians 6:14). This does create a conundrum for Shania, however it’s my belief that Shania should not be partners with Carlos due to him being an unbeliever nevertheless, he can work for her, and conversely your viewpoint is because he is an unbeliever and they don’t share the same beliefs that he cannot work for her. Furthermore, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex and national origin (Kim,2015) and for this reason these laws are created to protect those who may experience discrimination because of their faith (Ludlum,2016). Therefore, Shania would in violation of the law by not hiring a candidate based on religious reasons. Therefore, because of her racially diverse staff she is inclined to promote an ethnic minority. My advice to Shania is that when she promotes an ethnic minority it cannot be based on race alone but most importantly qualifications, skillset and shared values of the individual. Therefore, due to Shania creation of an integrated workplace this can produce an environment of connectedness, rich creativity and productivity in the decision-making process that will appeal to a diverse marketplace (Estlund,2005).
