The Hunting Ground is about sexual assault on a college campus. Although the rates of sexual assault in a college campus seem to be low, it’s actually not being reported in order to protect the university, not the students. In 2012, 45% of universities reported zero sexual assaults. One of the young women went to talk to a counselor and she pretty much blamed her- comparing rape to a football game. Most college students are raped every day on a college campus- they tend to happen at a party. Most rape or sexual assault on college campus involve two students that both are either intoxicated, or one of them are intoxicated.
