If someone thinks of a person they have met before that they consider to be a good leader, one of their characteristics is probably humility. Humility can be one of the toughest character traits to come by and acquire. For a lot of people, it goes against their natural being and what the world promotes in order to be successful. In both areas, it is beneficial to develop others, because it leads to an overall better team and team environment. It leads to the team being more effective, better able to accomplish tasks, and reach goals. It also goes against being self-centered or focused. The environment will be less stressful and more productive. Cross-training and teaching others shows that one genuinely cares about the other and making that individual better.
