The Economic Impact of the Seattle Storm on Seattle There are many types of professional sports leagues out there, but one of the most groundbreaking organizations would have to be the Women’s National Basketball Association. The WNBA is the premier basketball league for women, a counterpart to the male NBA teams. One of the league's most notable teams for success and longevity would be the Seattle Storm. The Seattle Storm continues to have a significant economic impact on Seattle through revenue generation, reinvestment into the community and an infusion of job opportunities.
