Seatbelts Have Affected My Life

I always believed in seat belts but never until the moment that it had effected my life. Little did I know that the monster lurking in the back of my mind, the fear that always existed when stepping into a car would come out on Aug 25, 2014. It was a long day after high school coming home tired and overwhelmed with all the homework for the night to come. With the hot sun beating down on us and the showers from the night before it made for extremely humid air however excitement was still in the air disregarding the humidity as we all prepared to attend my brother’s baseball game that afternoon. Having made a hard decision earlier before leaving on which car to take we decided on the new van my parents had purchased a month or two before, still having the new car smell as we entered. After winding down the small mountain and through the little town, we were now on one eleven where seeing more cars became a more common sight. With the windows down and no worry in the world besides the homework that was awaiting my arrival when I got home, I would soon realize that I would not be going home that night, instead going somewhere else. As we kept driving arriving soon at our destination for the afternoon, I glanced out the window and saw the speed limit saying sixty now realizing that, that was the last time my emotions and feelings would be the same before the fear suddenly made its way into my head.
