When I was young, screen time was not as common as it is today. Everday when I came home from school I would drop my backpack at the door and run to meet my friends for a fun afternoon of outside play. We would play imaginitive games creating new worlds or pretending we were in an exotic jungle, when in reality were were just walking under some trees or through some bushes. I have two youger sisters at home now and when they come home from school, I see them drop there backpacks off at the door and immediatly go to pick up their ipads. From there they spend the afternoon cooped up in there room watching Netfix. The younger generation no longer goes outside to play and use there imagination. Article one said that between 2011 and 2013 chilldrens screen time almost doubled. While I understand that as Acrtice two stated that this is the world we now live in, screens are now everywhere and there are benifits for visual learners. I don't think technology is bad, screen time just must be limited for the proper cretive development of the next generation.
