Laureline Neumann seems to be adjusting well in her new environment, and I think she is ready for first grade. To assess Laureline we must make a judgment about her linguistic, cognitive, social/emotional growth etc. since the beginning of the school year. At the beginning of kindergarten Laureline did not know any English, and by spring she is able to speak fluently. This is impressive growth for a child to make in such a short period of time. Laureline has average school performance, and is also adapting well socially. Laureline has made friends inside and outside of school.
