This love represents the typical love story as it is a forbidden love as Hester cannot be with Dimmesdale as she is married though her husband is not with her. Their love represents a typical love story as they cannot be together and they face many obstacles but they truly love each other. The first hint at their love is given when Chillingworth tries to have Pearl taken away and Dimmesdale is able to prevent it and throughout the story it is said that they share a special connection. When they are finally alone they show their true love and reveal that Pearl is their daughter. Hester and Chillingworth represented a lost love now full of scorn and hatred. Hester and Pearl represent a pure unbreakable love between a mother and daughter. Hester and Dimmesdale represent a classic love between a man and women in a love story as they faced many challenges and in the end could never be together. With these different relationships represented the Scarlet Letter manages to not only weaves these stories together into one but it never sacrifices the depth of each one of them, each relationship develops and end. With these relationships all forms of love are represented and because of it the Scarlet Letter with the underlying theme of love which is consistent though out the story deserves to be considered a love
