The diagnosis of Sarcoidosis has significantly improve due to the aid in technology. These medical managements include commonly used oral medications, systemic therapy and transplantation. In summation, Sarcoidosis is known to be a very puzzling inflammatory auto-immune disorder that attacks healthy organs in the body such as lungs, lymph glands, skin, eyes, musculoskeletal system, nervous system, heart, liver and kidneys. This then causes small tumors in the body called “granulomas”. Granulomas are small tumor masses made up of clumps of cell in the immune system. Although studied show no exact cure for this disease the purpose for my research is to become more aware of my family medical history as well as evaluate the effectiveness of a national based health disorder that target patients living with Sarcoidosis. (ABSTRACT)Early detection of Sarcoidosis can improve the chance of successful treatment and recovery. As previously stated, researchers believe that clinical research is the most effective method to detect sarcoidosis …show more content…
When infectious diseases enter the body the immune system the body uses different types of white blood cells to help fight off the invaders. By fighting back with (Thymas) T- cells (which are responsible for attacking target cells that have been infected by viruses or cells that have been distorted by cancer) and (Bursa of Fabricius) B- cells (which are responsible for secreting substances called antibodies into the body’s fluids. These antibodies then ambush the foreign antigens circulating in the bloodstream while penetrate the cells they are also known to be the most effective weapon against the invaders. The immune system is composed of a network of cells and tissues throughout the body that work together to prevent invasion of infection. When functioning properly, the immune system is designed to identify the issue, kill the invaders and then eliminate the substance that may do harm. When problems occur within the immune system it can cause the body to mistake its own healthy cells as invaders and then repeatedly attacks them. However, in patients living with sarcoidosis, those cells that come to fight the infection end up clumping together into small lumps called granulomas. Sarcoidosis is medically defined as an enigmatic multi-systemic granulomatous autoimmune disease. Sarcoidosis can affect the skin, heart, liver, spleen, salivary
