The South Plan Community Action association ensures that all staff who are hired obtain a criminal background check. In accordance to Head Start 1302.90 (b) (2) a program must complete background check for each employee, consultant or contractor, at least once every five years which must include each of the four checks listed in paragraph (b) (1) and (2) of the head start performance standards, the SPCAA Criminal background checks are done for prospective employees prior to hire in accordance to federal and state requirements.
