The F2052SH has been replaced by the ACCT, as the F2052SH needed to be developed in order to more effectively monitor suicide prevention. The ACCT is a plan which can be opened by a member of the prison staff, if they see them as at risk of suicide or self-harm (Prison Reform Trust, 2012). This was put in place in order to act as a care plan system which will allow prison staff to help to calm a possible suicidal act, build on a prisoners strengths and reduce their vulnerability. It also is in place to help prisoners who may have repetitive self-harm problems, or suicidal behaviours to be able to manage and reduce their distress in order to avoid self-harm/suicidal behaviours emerging. Yale New Haven Hospital's medical unit diagnosed me with S.C.F.E.: Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphysis. This injury, usually in the event of a fall, causes the head of the hip to slip backwards at the point of connection between the bone and growth plate. The doctor told me that I was very lucky; Most cases are to be diagnosed within 24 to 48 hours, and extended use of the leg outside of this time frame could result in lost flexibility of the joint, in addition to premature osteoarthritis.
