Running Buddies is the Humane Animal Treatment Society’s newest volunteer-based program. The program encourages volunteers to take dogs from the shelter to exercise together, creating a healthier lifestyle for both humans and animals in the community. Volunteers can come to the shelter for a tour of the facility and a short training shift. After that, they are get to take a dog to their favorite park, trail or other exercise spot to get moving as a team.
