To be a hero means to be a great leader. To have great ideas and be able to have the strength to sacrifice yourself and be courageous. A true hero is courageous, bold, has strong ideas and is able to make an impact. In Homer’s The Odyssey, Greeks are off to Troy for battle. The king Odysseus, goes with them to help them during battle. In William Golding’s Lord of the Flies, a pack of kids crashland on an island out in the middle of nowhere. They have to pick someone to be a leader while they are on this island
