Richard M. Nixon was president from 1969-1974 and was a republican. He had many roles as president. For example he passed a lot of legislation regarding drug abuse and crime. He attempted to settle Vietnam War on good terms and he issued 346 executive orders keeping it to his own council. He also promised the public more racial desegregation. President Nixon wanted to better the relationship with the Soviet Union.

Richard M. Nixon passed a lot of legislation regarding the drug abuse and crime. Most of this was unsuccessful, because he favored confrontation rather than compromise. The government was divided because of this. I think President Nixon was trying to make the world better but didn’t quite go through
