This speech was given in 1964. The audience were college students of the University of Michigan. He gave them facts, and statistics of how America has changed over the years, and how it plans to change. There isn’t good quality of things anymore. Johnson the speaker wants the students to know that their generation can fix that. He speaks about the growth of the population over the years. He spoke that statistics show that in 1970 there will be five-million more students enrolled then in 1960. The classrooms will become over crowded, and there will not be enough teacher qualified to teach. The people who are qualified are not getting paid, and the people who are getting paid are unqualified. The cause of there not being enough teachers is because there isn’t enough people going to college. A lot of people are unable to afford it.
