After reading Wood Hochswender article, “Did My Car Join Al Qaida” I found it very persuasive as he has three pieces of information that defend his reason for having a suv. Having a suv doesn’t make you a bad person depending on your use for it. Hochswender incorporates a lot of ethos with his sarcastic tone and then goes into pathos when it comes to 9/11 and terrorist. I don’t think that we should base our decision on getting a suv based on how others choose to use theirs. Yes, it is a major gas guzzler but it’s good for if you have a big family and for harsh winter weather. I am a new yorker as well and his ethos point is very valid. It can be hard driving on the roads especially when it’s snowstorms it can be hard driving through the snow.
