The main characters are Gill Grissom, Warrick Brown and Sarah sidle Chapter one CSI agents Gil Grissom, Warrick Brown, and Sarah Sidle receive a call from dispatch about a dead body outside the Nellis Air Force Base. When they arrive at the crime scene they meet a man named Benson who said he saw a man driving a 95 Monte Carlo with a broken taillight stop and throw a body shaped bag and drive off. On the side off the road they find a rolled up carpet sealed with duct tape, upon further inspection they found that there was a dead body inside.

Chapter two

The Agents take the carpet roll back to the lab and opened it up to find the corpse of a woman who had died of strangulation and was raped. they investigate and discuss the corpse further when they are horrified to discover that it is the corpse of Candace Lewis the P.A. of the mayor who went missing 3 weeks ago.

Mobley’s campaign manager Ed Anthony starts admonishing them for “wasting the sheriffs time with your little games” and says that they could use this to discredit the mayor so sheriff Mobley will have less competition in the polls. Grissom says that it would work since both the sheriff and Anthony are suspects for that very reason.

Chapter four

grissom collects a dna sample from sheriff mobley and asks to get carpeting samples from his house he grants them permission. Mobley later appears at his press conference and reporters ask if he is leading the candace lewis investigation he says that he isn't but that he has the best of the lvmpd working on the case

the agents discover that the murder weapon in candace lewis’ death was a bicycle chain then discover that mayor harrison and Candace lewis were having an affair and ed anthony had prevent that information to go in the police report and from being reported to the
