review individual competencies with my team members during their annual appraisal, their appraisal review which is 3 months after their appraisal and monthly during one to one meetings. I review the team member’s performance against the targets and competencies we set in their appraisal and discussion of how they are perfoming and any areas the team member has achieved or excelled are highlighted as well as any areas where the improvement is required. If improvement is required we discuss this and evaluate; if this is a training issue or down to under performance on the individuals part.

During the monthly discussions I provide evidence of the indivuals performance such as individual revenue generated and any decline in performance are addressed and methods of improving performance are implemented. By reviewing performance on a monthly basis I can review team member’s competencies timely and and ensure all training and development they are undertaking is progressing appropriately.
I review my team’s competencies by monitoring the teams overall performance against the targets set to achieve our objectives. By monitoring my team’s performance against the set objectives I can give feedback to the team via team meetings which I conduct fortnightly. During these meetings I inform the team of how we are performing against our targets and we review these

I document my team member’s skills, knowledge of processes and competency levels within a matrix. By compiling this training matrix I can identify areas that individuals require training or further training and can discuss this within their appraisal and plan and implement training programs to meet these needs. This enables me to ensure my team receive ongoing development in line with operational needs and the team are flexible and prepared for
