Can you picture yourself in fear every day because you believe someone or something is going to harm you and your family? Can you visualize someone raiding your home, and taking everything you worked hard for to eliminate your memories? Everything taken from you, your childhood pictures, your graduation diploma, personal items, paintings that you bought or even made yourself, and much more. Taking all of this into consideration you then have to take in that it’s one man behind all of this terrible commotion, Hitler. Then you ask yourself that one main question, why is this happening to me and my family? The answer is very disturbing.
It all started when Hitler applied to The Vienna Academy of Fine Arts School and didn’t get accepted ("The Rape of Europa"). Hitler became very obsessed with art and it became part of his everyday agenda. From then on he made it his mission to get rid of all modern art paintings in the German museums which he labeled degenerate (“The Rape of Europa”). Hitler destroyed Poland and tried to wipe the existence of the Poland citizens as well as Jews. In the process Hitler stole a great amount of popular paintings and till this day there is still missing art work (“The Rape of Europa”). 650,000 artwork was stolen and just last November of 2014, 1,280 paintings were recovered …show more content…
That was very unfair to the Jews because all of their memories and personal items are in that house, and for the Nazis to take their property in the blink of an eye is absorbed. We then go back to the question where all those paintings worth millions of lives? The answer is simply no. It doesn’t matter how much the paintings are worth, and how many paining’s were lost, they will never amount to the price of a human life. Why? Because humans are priceless, paintings are
