Religious Differences Between Islam And Muslims

Religious difference was the core of two nation theory.Muslims needed a state where they can practice their religion without other forces trying to create problems for them . Two nation theory origin started when first muslim came in subcontinent .Muslims follow islam and Hindus follow Hinduism. These two religions are not different side of same coin instead they are different coins . The religion of Muslims (Islam) follows tauheed means they believe in One God (Allah) while hindus believe in multiple Gods. Muslims follow namaz , zakat , roza , hajj . They follow Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and Holy Quran. Islam denies caste,race,colour while Hindus follow caste system and divided into different classes . Both religons concept of afterlife is different. There have been so many things happened to bring these religion together . The most important of those is Din-i-illahi that akbar tried to make but that was failure and was opposed by Islamic scholars . Cultural Difference: Culture is what define different communities . …show more content…
Culture is made by communities influenced by their religion . Muslims culture is highly influenced by Islam and Hindus culture is highly influenced by Hinduism . Muslims eat animals who they call Halal animals like cows chicken lamb etc . Islam prohibits Haraam animals like Pork,dogs etc . Hindus concept about eating is completely different they don't eat Cows . They believe in Cows divinity . They don't kill or eat cows while Muslims does Eid Ul Adha in which they sacrifice these animals to remember the sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S). Muslims holy events,days and months are dependent on Islamic calendar . Their Holy events are Eid , Ramadan , Hajj etc . Hindus events are dependent on different season . Their events are like Holi , Diwali etc. Muslims buries the dead body after their death while Hindus burn the body of a dead person . Marriage is done in different ways . Muslims do the marriage in the form of paper evidence called Nikkah while Hindus do marriage by completing 7 circles around the fire . Social Difference : Muslism and Hindus of subcontinent differ in their social life as well . Muslims believe in social equality while Hindus are seperated in different caste like Brahmins,Kshatriyas,Vaishyas,Shudras. Shudras are lower class of hindus they are treated very badly and they can't be a great part of society . They are allowed to be lower class workers . Muslims were treated badly. They were fired from their jobs . They were brutally murdered for supporting war of independence . Muslim's cultural and religious places were shut down . British army wanted to spread british education to people of subcontinent to make people loyal to british government . Hindus took this as a chance and there was majority of hindu community who were familiar with English education and took place of Muslims , economically and Muslims place in subcontinent was extremely damaged . This was the point where Muslims realized that they need a place and a state where they can be a greater part of society . Then came Sir Syed Ahmed Khan to rescue Muslim community and helped them to be educational and abstain from politics. Educational Difference: As Muslims were behind from British education than Hindus . Sir Syed Ahmed Khan started Aligarh movement to do educational reforms for Muslim community . The main focus of Aligarh movement was: loyalty to british goverment , modern education for muslims to compete with hindus, to keep away with politics as they are not eligibly correct to do politics . Sir Syed realized that fall of Muslims is due to backward in modern education . Muslims lost their past glory because of not going with modern society . They can only regain this glory by getting modern education . Urdu-Hindi Controversy : Urdu was made in India .Urdu means "language of troops". It was made to communicate different people from different regions of world in subcontinent. It is mixture of Arab,Persian and turkish and is naturally closer to Muslims.Hindi origin came from urdu but replaced with Sanskrit words . After war of Indepence British goverment
