Good public speaking skills are rare, it takes a lot of practice and experience to express yourself fluently in front of a crowd. To me, a great public speaker is one who can put their words together in the simplest way possible, so that every spectator can understand the message. Also engaging with the audience in order to keep their attention. The last good speech I heard was by Congressmen John Lewis back in October here on campus, he had great stories, was very informative and didn’t hesitate to engage the audience. I would be bothered if a political candidate used profanity in the middle of a speech because it is extremely unprofessional, I would not want that person to represent me or my community.
