The Franciscan Way, something that sounds much easier than it seems. Something that I had never quite cherished until I began my journey to achieve my colligate education, but something I think everyone should aspire to work into their day to day lives.
In my opinion, the most important Franciscan Value is compassion. Compassion is defined as “a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering” (Dictonary.com). Meaning in much simpler terms; someone who shows deep care or interest in people who are going through a tough time, and wanting to help those people in order to eliminating the suffering they are experiencing. I think that compassion is critical
