I began with this writing class because I aspire to work in advocacy.I have to be able to write reports and data out in a basic and factual manner. As you progress through the class, you will learn how to stick to the basic facts in the reference to the type of document, you can begin to see your own speaking patterns and how you approach your topic at hand. It has been challenging to learn how to be less descriptive and to stick to the fact with few adjectives and zero personal biases as possible. I spend a good bit of time on my personal writing, the bulk of which is creative and self-expressive. I am able to vent my emotions and experiences through characters and situations that are similar to the stressors in my life. There have been some
