One artifact that had an impact was the solar panels on the White House and its history. The museum will obtain one of the solar panels from the Carter administration (the 1st solar panels on the white house) and then obtain the exact model of solar panels that has been reinstalled on the White House today. This will be a very interactive exhibit, visitors will be able to use all of their senses from being able to touch the plants that are in the vertical farming to using physical activity to power up electronics. There will also be a 360 degree experience that details the growth of green technology.
Visitors should learn that technology when aiding the protection of the environment is not a bad thing. Technology is helping us evolve and adapt in certain ways so we can combat these environmental changes. By viewing simple green technologies (compost to apps on an iPad), on the small scale, hopefully it should inspire the visitor to maybe live a more sustainable lifestyle.
