Rebellion In The Hunger Games

Today's society, if having the same society as in the Hunger Games, would react a similar way. Although they would react the same, the effects would be slightly more drastic. Starting off with starvation being the root to all the problems it would lead to rebellion and then the world would go down in shambles. The government starts with hinting at rebellion due to lower districts having to find any way to fend for themselves, all because of low resources. Families, and the gathering of districts is a major way to start a rebellion. There are many factors to take into play as to why these families and districts from all over would bind together to bring down the government. Being poor is equal to a rebellion because they start off starving. That then leads to fending off for yourself, then families would become angry and want to rebel against the government. for everyone to become equal. Believing the cause of the destruction of our society would be based off on being poor as they were in the hunger games. Since some Districts were poor that led to starvation. District 12 was low in supplies from food to money. The government doesn’t realize they are hinting at rebellion by fencing up District 12, although it was for a good cause intentionally. In the Hunger Games families who weren’t blessed with money or food were allowed to put their names in more times for a year's supply of oil and grain. The only problem with this is the ones who choose this option have more chance of dying. This also is another way of hinting at a purpose to rebel. These families who must basically sacrifice their lives to possibly live another year could come together, and try to take down this system. Although the thought that today’s society would react the same way, I believe they would start with violence towards each other yet. Today people are more violent than in the past, at an advanced level such as having gun. When cavemen were around they had to fight for their food, History is always repeating itself and it would only be a matter of time of every man for himself came along. As previously said the gate was a cause for rebellion. In the story the Hunger Games it states that only the brave would venture out and hunt for food. If two people were to come across the same target they could potentially fight each other for their meal. If one was to end up dead the family would be angry and blame the government because their district wouldn’t have to fight for food if they were supplied equally. A second cause of rebellion could be from the Arena. As known in the game you must kill off each other until there is one victor left. If the families of the deceased were angry enough at the government for being inhuman and letting their children be killed off they families again could come together and lead a rebellion to stop this horrible act the government is performing. If the games was occurring in our current day it would be stopped not too long from the start of it. It would start off with everyone being fearful with their lives. Since we as a society are more opinionated and brave than ever before, we would confront many unequal problems face to face. It is know that the rich would be less likely to have their names pulled due to their riches meaning they have access to resources when needed. If the lower mass was to gather together then they could take face to a revolution that could bring justice to everyone. Finally, it comes down to the after effects of the rebellions. In the hunger games it is known that everyone wants to rebuild and have a final ending to all inequality, and build a better tomorrow. In the story Katniss kills of the President, leaving nobody in charge. That then leaves the question of who will be the new ruler.
