One of the main points that people who are against MMA as an Olympic sport say is that it is too dangerous and barbaric. One of the main reason the number of people watching the Olympics are down is because of the number of young people that just don't seem interested in the sports on offer, while on the other hand people under the age of 30 are the people who mostly watch MMA. The number of people watching the Olympics in America dropped by 37% from the London Olympics according to NBC (the TV station that shows the Olympics in America). This would give The Olympics a boost in some countries they're not as popular in. This would mean that instead of the Olympics becoming less and less popular and fewer countries wanting to host the games more people will watch bringing in more money for the nations that host the Olympics.
