In the future, I know that I want to be someone that is great, someone that serves, that profoundly impacts the lives of others, and leaves the world a better place. I want to be part of this legacy; I want to be a great leader by serving my country and the other great men and women that serve.…
However, now that I have had time to ponder the idea of applying to a service academy for the better part of two years, I have realized that attending the US Air Force Academy is a great honor. I believe that the academy will provide me the opportunity of graduating from a secondary school with a degree while at the same time becoming a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force. Furthermore, attending the academy will allow me to further develop my leadership skills to one day…
I would like to be a part of the Honors Program at Colorado State University, because I have a passion to learn. I push myself to put all of my efforts into everything I do. I have this ache, more like a need to learn new things. My perspective, as well is unique compared to the average person. I look at the three sides of a story, the factual side, my side, and the other party's side, this helps to make sure that you are almost never being biased on any matter at hand.…

There is a stigma associated with attending Brookdale. It did not make sense to me, and I did not let it stop me. In my senior year of high school, I blatantly told everyone I was going to Brookdale and faced opposition. No one understood. I was in the top ten percent of my class.…

While Struggling with a learning disability such as ADHD, the feeling of discouragement and illiteracy negatively impacted my academics as a child. I have faced several obstacles growing up with ADHD, but I realized that adhd is not a “disability”, it’s the ability to process knowledge at my own pace. That self-confidence is what gave me the encouragement and drive to seek a higher level of education and meet all my life goals. When I was a child and others would ask, “What do you want to be when you grow up”, my answer had always remained the same. I 've always been determined to be a nurse, nursing assistant, or work somewhere in the medical field.…
AVID I hope that AVID will prepare me for college and help me grow and learn when I'm in high school. First, I can’t imagine not going to college, and I am excited about the opportunities a college education presents. I would like a good job to support me and my family. I want to think more about the world and my place in it. Albert Einstein once said “Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of minds to think.”…

Entering IU Bloomington as an undergraduate freshman would enable me to begin my journey in trying everything I’ve ever wanted to do; learning how to play the violin, and becoming a virtuoso in the piano and the guitar. With the skills I will develop at IU Bloomington, I would love to be able to pursue a musical career in composing music, or being a singer/ songwriter. Besides music, however, I would like to try my luck at being an actor, improve my acting skills, my singing ability, and possibly become an actor for film/ television, and/ or becoming a broadway singer. Furthermore, I would like to span my wings and dive into pursuing a career in writing, astronomy/ astrophysics, and becoming either a surgeon or veterinarian. I enjoy being…

The main reason that I believe that attending The Indiana Academy would be a beneficial academic experience for me is that I feel I would benefit from a challenge. At my current school, I have taken the most difficult classes that were made available to me, but I still very rarely feel challenged by my work. The lack of a challenge is so prevalent in some classes that even the advanced level of a class is boring. This is due to the amount of work and the content covered in these classes. I feel like attending the Indiana Academy would lessen or solve these problems.…
