The first reason why the Constitution should be ratified, is because the power was split between people so that not one person had all the power. In Document C, it talks about how Framers made three different branches of government for this reason. In Document D, There was federalism. Federalism is a system of government in which power is divided between national & state governments. In Document E it shows that the bill of rights were made. The bill of rights was mostly created so that citizens could get their rights. “Amendment 1; U.S. citizens have freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition.” This gives citizens rights to believe in whatever they want and no one can say anything. “Amendment 2; U.S. citizens have the right to keep bear arms, or own guns.” This gives citizens a chance to protect themselves. “Amendment 5; The government may not force U.S. citizens to testify against themselves in court.” This gives citizens a chance to make their own decision on whether they want to testify or not. “Amendment 7; U.S. citizens have the right the a trial by jury.” This gives citizens a chance to prove themselves innocent or guilty before final decisions are made. “Amendment 8; U.S. citizens are protected from cruel and unusual punishment.” This protects citizens from harm to others or from others. “Amendment 9; U.S. citizens may have rights that are not listed in the Constitution.” This gives citizens extra rights.
