Indiana Jones is an archeologist, studies, and knows a lot about the subject. Each time there is an issue, he tries to resolve it and always find a solution. For instance, at the end of the movie, he knows that looking straight at the evil spirits that comes out of the Ark will cause him death, contrary to the nazis and his army who get killed. He is also brave because he is determined to find the Ark and does whatever it takes to get it. For example, when he has to go down into the well, even though snakes are his biggest fear, he is still going for the adventure and gets one step closer to his goal.
Finally, we can say that the action requires noble, fantastic, and even superhuman actions. Throughout the movie, Jones has to face several dangerous situations, but he makes it each time without any serious injuries. When he is trapped by the Nazis in the Nil, he manages to make a big jump out of the water, which no normal human being would be able to do. He also succeeds fighting the enemies in the cars. In fact, he manages to eject a soldier through the window in one single move and he also avoids them by scrolling under the truck. He always finds his way out of the temples, the caves, and escapes
