Identify the five stages of group development apply these stages to your own class 's group development. There are five stages of group development, stage one forming, stage two storming, stage three norming, stage four performing and stage five adjourning. I am going to reflect on my time with last years class Titoki and analyse how my class had developed as a group.
FORMING
First stage of forming was when our class had first met each other. Everyone was a little quite, we were all very observant of each other. This stage involved meeting our new class members.

I also think that collaboration is a great style to resolve conflict in this situation. This type of style involves teamwork and co-operation which helps everyone on the long run and also maintains relationships, as a class the relationship means everything. It is best to use this strategy when two people or groups have a disagreement that needs to be identified.
Accommodation could have another great strategy to use during the situation as I felt one group had more power over the other or felt like they had. This specific group could have neglected their own concerns and considered the other groups concerns. A leadership style that I think a fellow student in my class poses is a charismatic leadership style. I feel that he has this style of leadership because he is very energetic, loves to pump up the class, he is always happy which brings a positive vibe to the class. But I do feel that he has more belief in himself than the rest of the team. In saying that he does carry a lot of responsibility and I feel that he is committed to the class and is there when you need help.
Give two examples of how this persons leadership skills have influenced an outcome of any given situation.
First example of this person showing a charismatic leadership style was when we decided to get class T-shirts, he figuring out the price, where to get them from, how long it was going to take. He was very enthusiastic when it came to designing the logo, we all put in ideas for the T-shirts. The outcome that came from this was getting the T-shirts before we left to Rotorua
