The World Health Organization stated, “Tobacco kills nearly 6,000,000 people a year and alcohol results in 2,500,00 deaths each year.” Nobody has died from marijuana being the reason towards it. Tobacco and alcohol should be on the top of the dangerous drugs list, as they kill more people than all the dangerous drugs combined. The people who regularly inhale cannabis usually build up a tolerance to these side effects which makes them even less hindering, but some people never fully develop one. Marijuana is also not as addicting as the media leads it to believe in. Research by the British Medical Association shows that the most addictive drug, even above heroin, is nicotine. After nicotine and heroin comes cocaine, and then alcohol. Below that is caffeine, and at the very bottom of the chart is marijuana. Yet, marijuana is the one that stays …show more content…
The medical capabilities, free resources, crime reduction, economic relief, and the fact that it has been decriminalized in a few states and countries has only had a positive outcome towards it. The pro-marijuana legalization is backed up with a lot of valid facts that have been researched and tested so it makes it the better option while the people that do not understand are driven with false information that it is a terrible drug and it only causes problems around the world. People need to stop being ignorant and understand that marijuana would be a huge positive impact towards the world. Many people look down upon marijuana due to its false reputation that people say. Making it legal does not mean you have to smoke it yourself, but you should have the freedom of choice if you desire
