Miracles were observed after Jesus resurrected in the fact He appeared to many. In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul gives a list of people who witnessed Jesus in His new form. Jesus appeared to Peter, the Twelve, the 500 people, James, the apostles, and lastly Paul. When Jesus appeared to the Twelve, He suddenly appeared in the room when all openings were closed. The disciples also knew it was Him as Thomas was able to see the holes in Jesus’ body as observed in John 20:27, “Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.” Jesus also had healed multiple people before He died, some were witnessed by many and some were kept private. It is nearly impossible for the 500 people to all hallucinate the exact same event. The disciples were not expecting for Jesus to rise again. As Paul Copan says, “Jesus’ resurrection was not a wish-fulfillment; the disciples were not expecting it and on at least three occasions didn’t recognize him” (Copan, 178). Miracles are not simply impossible because they violate the laws of nature. Miracles just prove the existence of God as many may believe that God is a violation of the laws of nature. A man felt compelled to pray and sing for him regardless of firefighters saying he was dead and was shocked when Don started singing the hymn along with him. Miracles are possible it just depends on whether you choose to accept it as a miracle or not. The resurrection of Jesus is a miracle and can be viewed as a violation of nature as well. Therefore, since miracles are possible and have been observed and Jesus’ resurrection is a
