Why or Why Not College Athletes players should be paid
There has always been the controversy of why or why not division 1 college athletes should be paid, mainly because most of the athletes feel that they should be paid. For several years there have been debates and arguments about this. In my opinion there are pros and cons about this. Of course the college athletes themselves feel they should be paid but not everyone is on the same page with that. Some sources say that they should be paid and some say they should not.

Mark Brown is the coach for the University of Texas. Mark Brown has a salary of over $5 million dollars. The University of Texas football players received $3 in scholarships in 2014. Over the years the NCAA has trusted that the coaches maintain an amateur status. Conflicts like paying the athletes are very big in the NCAA. The first point in paying these athletes under the table is the fact that these men and women are students, they are not just athletes. This point of view would be way more realistic if these reasons were actually reasons for academics. These student athletes that Dennis A.
