Activists like Muckraker, Jacob Riss and Jane Addams were significant to the social movement because they forced the awareness of the corruption in society. Muckraker rose the cognizance of manufacturers who adulterated or misbranded foods, drugs, medicines, and liquor to the public. Eventually, the awareness led to a Pure food and drug act. There were many great attributes from the Progressive Era like the Food and Drug act, removal of corruptions, child laws and many more.
