The first course I am going to talk about is a more modern golf course with a lot of edginess, Whistling Straits. When the course was first being erected, everyone knew that it was going to be something special because of the world renown designer undertaking the project, Pete Dye. Nonetheless there was skepticism about the golf courses potential, considering they were going for a rugged and sloping style course and it was being constructed from a low lying, pancake flat, abandoned, military base. Of course there was some undeniable potential considering it was located on the bank of gleaming and lustrous Lake Michigan. With some of the most sensational views of lake Michigan, the abnormality of the terrain, and the irregularity of so many majestic looking bunkers, this course will leave your eyes in complete awe. There are so many reasons why this piece of land is known throughout the golf community. Even the best players in the game of golf approve. Whistling Straits was the site of the 2015 PGA Championship. This tournament is one of the four majors that is played throughout the professional golf season. The majors are the most elite tournaments in professional golf. Other than that, the straits course will also be the host of the 2020 Ryder Cup. The Ryder Cup is one of the most special events, if not the most special event in professional golf. The Ryder Cup rolls around every two years. The U.S. and Europe, comprised of 12 players from each team, battle it out in the ultimate team golf event for the most coveted prize in team golf, the Ryder Cup. With such an intriguing golf course, there is no doubt that the 2020 Ryder cup is going to be an absolute treat for the players and golf
