There are many important characteristics an effective criminal investigator needs to have.One important quality would be to gather evidence and thoroughly analyze details of the crime scene. Also, "elite analytical skills" are a major key to success in becoming a competent criminal investigator. As well as excellent communication skills because those will be necessary in many aspects of the job. A third crucial characteristic would be "problem-solving instincts" that are vastly important in this career.
