A lot of Africa’s nations have borrowed money, which puts them in debt. Most of the time the borrowed money is used to by weapons or funding costly projects that doesn’t benefit the people. For example, the Aswan High Dam was a setback for Africa. This dam was built in the hopes of modernizing Egypt and Sudan. As stated by realclimate.org, “The dam actually stopped the flow of the Nile including the natural fertilizer and organic material the river supplied.” This was very costly causing about one-third of the dam's electric output to be used to fertilize this land that was once known as one of the most fertile parts of the world. Every day that we follow a corrupt regime that not only created this system, but also heavily promotes this Neanderthal way of living, more and more innocent and valuable lives will be lost. All people are the same, and equal inside and out. This world is everyone’s inheritance, therefore no one person really has power over another unless that person give them power. When it comes to the future of poverty in Africa and the world I feel it will only get worse. As long as we continue to live by this current money system people will starve and there will be more wars behind equal rights. That green piece of paper plays no role what so ever in food, water and materials growing. Money is a piece of paper that we make. If human beings does decide to continue using paper money than it should be used in more ways to benefit human existence. In my opinion a price should not be put on things needed for survival such as food, water, and healthcare. A huge amount of money is spent on worldly possessions‘. The taxes on material purchases in America is enough to maintain a decent standard of living for everyone.
