A change in lifestyle is moving from one place to another and in and out of homes. Children are twice to suffer from PTSD in foster home, this child are being remove from their homes because of the environment they are leaving due to the abuse in the home, come to find out that they are re-living this traumatic events again in the foster homes whom say to be "a safer place " than home for the child. Another thing could be changes in schools it makes the child become very stress with meeting new people, new school new everything and can 't find themselves or how to get around places whom to hang out with. Stressing a child can be another cause why because the children like test anxiety can stress the child, presentations cannot take so much stress on them they don’t have to worry about anything that does not concern them they should just worry about having fun and school. Starting school or moving it can stress a child and it can lead to school refusal not wanting to go to school, it can first start off with headaches, stomach aches and much more and for this children it is hard from them to stay focus and just have average grade. Another type of trigger is disasters when a family is suffering through the loss of everything due to natural disasters like hurricanes, tornados and fire it effects the child. Symptoms that are shown in a child that has PTSD is emotional meaning like their mood how they react to certain things they either can always be sad, depressed, fear and anxiety it just depends on the child. Most children who have experienced a traumatic event will show symptoms like a fear of strangers or afraid to leave a caregiver side whom they trust. In the peer review article "Emotional Reasoning in Acutely Traumatized Children and Adolescents: An Exploratory Study" it states "Childhood trauma symptoms often have serious developmental and psychological consequences including a negative influence on social functioning, quality of life and academic performance"(J Fam Stud). Children who have PTSD have problems in relationships, with friends and family and start acting out, they might also have sleeping problems or bad dreams but this doesn 't mean that every child has PTSD. To know if child who has been in a traumatic event he or she must feel helpless, a fear and a horror of the traumatic event that he or she went through. That’s why it is important to know the risk factors of PTSD because all children could act out and been through a traumatic event, but it does not mean they have it.
